Time Management

Organization

Organization is the key to success. It helps prevent stress. For example, keeping your area clean and organized will help you focus and not think about clutter.

Another way to organize is organizing your computer, laptop, iPad, or any other device you use. You can create folders or files to separate your work or classes so it won’t be as difficult to find.

Planning

Planning is one of the keys to having success in college life.  Good time management involves setting goals, realizing what is distracting you everyday, having a planner, doing one thing at a time, having breaks, and having a good routine.

Being a college student, time management and planning your schoolwork is everything! With poor time management skills and lack of planning we cause ourselves to go into anxiety and depressive moods. Though having close friends and family can help, "potentially important relationships were found between some aspects of time management"(Macan, 1990 para. 35). Having a girlfriend/boyfriend or a close friend or family member can help with time management. They can help you make a schedule for yourself, and also remind you of things you have going on. By doing this, it will help you become less stressed out and have no anxiety as you know what to do on a specific day.
