This Topic hits close to home for me since I have been diagnosed with both major anxiety and depression. This website is a resource for those who feel like there is no way to help themselves. While medicine is often the first option, I want people to know that there are other ways to combat mental health issues. In this project I designed the website and made sure it was aesthetically pleasing.

This topic is very personal and dear to me. As having two siblings diagnosed as bipolar and suffering from depression during their college career I have had to learn a lot on my own. Now being able to provide my own personal experience and create a website is a great feeling. As well, I think mental health needs to be popularized and talked about more.

Matt Moreno

I am Matt Marco Moreno.  I am born and raised on Guam but am currently living in Las Vegas.  I am a student of UNLV majoring in Kinesiology.  Mental health and self-care has always been important to me as a student.  I believe that every student in college right now should know the basic information on having good mental health to be able to stay on top of our classes, never missing a deadline, and most importantly to be a healthy individual.

This topic is important to me because I myself have experienced stress while being in college. It definitely takes a toll on my mental health. I try juggling work, school, and making time for my family and friends. It doesn’t seem hard, but it really is. I know there are other people who relate to this as well and that’s another reason to why this topic is important to me.

Teven Mayo

Hello, my name is Teven Mayo and I am studying Kinesiology at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. My goal is to finish my undergraduate and continue my education with a masters in Healthcare administration. I have always been interested in all aspects of health and fitness whether it be mental or physical. Knowledge about care of yourself can never be overstated. Understanding your body inside and out is the beginning to being able to live a healthy, strong, and fruitful life. We only get one body so let’s treat it right !
